Poppy is a Congo African Grey Parrot. Poppy was born in spring 2006 so is only a youngster as African Grey Parrots can live to their fifties or even longer! She is daddy's girl and everything she says is in his voice. Only exceptions being NO, naughty and Step up
these she can also say in my voice, wonder why!
Poppy is a very friendly parrot and likes to show off and is happy to go to strangers and sit on their fingers or next to them on the sofa.
She is always so happy (except too early in the morning)and brightens our days, every day.
In absence of a dog to train, I have ended up training Poppy! she knows how to turn around in circles, shake hands and wave. We are currently working on speaking on a cue.
Poppy loves going out in her harness. This is extremely good for her mental well being and also a good opportunity to excercise.
